New Jersey drug charges given to man sitting in a parked car

One man visiting New Jersey is facing drug charges, among other charges, after being apprehended by a police officer who was apparently advised by a passerby that a man sitting in a parked car might be intoxicated. When faced with police, the man then allegedly resisted arrest. The man was subsequently arrested on drug charges, including possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as other charges stemming from him supposedly resisting arrest from the police.

New Jersey "Teacher of the Year" accused of sex crimes

A New Jersey teacher, formerly the winner of the title 'Teacher of the Year' for 2011, has been charged for alleged sex crimes which supposedly happened between her and a high school student that was a sophomore in her honors class. She has since been charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. She has been released on bail for her alleged sex crimes on the condition that she has no contact with the various people involved with the case and has been suspended indefinitely from the school where she works.

Young New Jersey woman faces realities of underage DWI charge

A 20-year-old New Jersey woman was arrested for DWI after the car she had been driving crashed at an embankment. After police determined that no one was seriously hurt in the collision, she was taken to the precinct for questioning. She has since been charged with DWI, underage DWI, reckless driving and failure to keep right in her lane of traffic.

Juvenile charges or worse for New Jersey teen accused of arson?

A mental health evaluation has been ordered for a 15-year-old girl from New Jersey charged in connection to a fire that was set in her home while her family slept. Described as a sweet girl and good student, the teenager faces serious charges that may extend beyond juvenile charges. So far, she has been charged with six counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated arson. Her first court appearance was in a juvenile court.
