Man faces drug charges after illegal U-turn

A New Jersey man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop in Wayne on March 7. The incident happened shortly after 2 a.m. Wayne Police said they were patrolling the area around Route 23 and North Leg Road when they observed a vehicle making an illegal U-turn. After pulling the vehicle over for a traffic stop, officers allegedly witnessed a male passenger shoving something down the rear of his pants.

Several arrested on drug charges

On Dec. 11, several people in New Jersey appeared in court on drug charges as a result of a raid executed by local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. The U.S. attorney's office claims that the eight people arrested were involved in a national trafficking organization that distributed crack cocaine, cocaine and heroin throughout the country. Authorities in California were still searching for two people allegedly involved in the illicit activity at the time of the report. In Pennsylvania, a ninth individual was apprehended as well.

2 New Jersey men arrested on weapons charges

Two separate incidents on Nov. 17 led to the arrests of two New Jersey men on various gun and drug charges. Both incidents happened in Newark. The first occurred around 3:45 pm on Central Avenue. According to authorities, two officers were conducting a quality-of-life patrol when they allegedly spotted a man walking down the street with a gun in his pocket. Police say they followed the 21-year-old man to a nearby business.

New Jersey man taken into custody on drug charges

A 47-year-old man was taken into custody at 1 p.m. on Sept. 22 for allegedly distributing Oxycodone and Buprenorphine in a public housing complex and near a school. He was charged with three counts of possession of the pills with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of public property and 500 feet within a school. During a court appearance on Sept. 23, he was ordered held on $50,000 bail.

New Jersey man charged with drug offenses following traffic stop

On Aug. 28, a New Jersey man was charged with multiple drug offenses after the police conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle. According to the report, the traffic stop occurred at approximately 8:13 p.m. after he was observed speeding near West Front and Richardson streets in Florence.
